Home Visiting Task Force

The Home Visiting Task Force (HVTF), a standing committee of the Illinois Early Learning Council, focuses on the following:

  • Advancing a comprehensive vision for home visiting that includes improving the quality of and access to evidence-based home visiting programs for all at-risk families.
  • Increasing coordination between home visiting programs at the state and local levels, as well as between home visiting and all other publicly-funded services for families.
  • Serving as the advisory body for Illinois’ federal Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) grant program.

The HVTF meets on a quarterly basis. Home visiting professional administrators, researchers and public and private partners are encouraged to participate.
